As the world turns upside down with war, geopolitics, terror, firehoses of disinformation and conspiracies, I am doing somersaults! I am rolling over turbulence and coming to stand in what's possible. So I meet life‑changing technologies, events, and people connections with attention and intention. My goal is to be mindful, stay flexible, keep going and growing (not too much in my middle though!)
As a 7‑year‑old I used to love our gymnastics class where there would be two, three, even four kids lying side‑by‑side close to each other across the mat and I'd run up and do a somersault over all of them. Now recently I got brave and didn't just stick my head in the sand, I actually did a couple of somersaults in my 70s.
My vision for Brave Action Ukraine is to turn understanding and responses around through the voices of ordinary people living history right now. As individuals, we write about the war’s impact on us. Through person-to-person connections with the authors, we directly experience what it means to be resilient and innovative when normal is not normal, and to take brave action for freedom. This mutual exchange of giving and receiving tangibly supports Ukrainians, Ukraine, and ourselves.
