war story

Mahmutlar, Alanya - May 28, 2022

My family separated

By Mariia Minieieva

Mahmutlar, Alanya,
May 28, 2022

aiIt has been 3 months since the war started. Everything changes really fast. At this moment all my relatives are separated. My mom and brothers are in the UK, my father and 2 grandmothers in Dnipro. My aunt and grandfathers went back to Chernihiv, and I am here, in Turkey. I couldn’t imagine that it would have turned out this way.
aiI am already used to calling everyone by Telegram every day and putting up with not seeing their faces in real life. Only now do I really understand how important the family is.

Now I would give anything to see them, to have a 5-minute talk during our family dinner, and walk in the park.

aiI regret that I once quarrelled with my parents and did not talk to them. Now I would give anything to see them, to have a 5-minute talk during our family dinner, and walk in the park.
aiI would advise all young people who are still living with their families to spend more time together because you never know what might happen next.
