aiUkraine and the city of Kharkiv occupy a special place in my life. They became a second Motherland for me. And my first Motherland for me is Belarus. I was born and raised there, graduated from high school, my grandparents, my parents are buried there. As fate has it, I have been living in the city of Kharkiv for almost fifty-five years. It is difficult to overestimate the role played by this city in my life. Here I received a higher education, a profession, met my beloved woman, with whom I have lived for almost forty-nine years. My children and grandchildren live here.

aiOn February 24, 2022, my life, like the life of many Ukrainians, was divided into two parts - before the war and after it began. In the pre-war period, my life was full of everyday worries, constant trips to the city and meetings with interesting people. Almost every day I met my children or grandchildren.

ai  In the city, air alarms were constantly heard, as well as explosions of bombs and rockets in different areas of the city. There were constant thoughts in my head - to which shelter to run. As night fell, I kept wondering if I would see the next morning.
