About

It seems the Russians now seriously see themselves and the United States as allies: waving both Russian and “American” flags, they are storming Mala Tokmachka in eastern Ukraine. 🤦‍♂️ And all this—just a day after the loud, so-called “historic” talks between Trump and Putin in Alaska. But “historic” they were only for the Kremlin: Ukraine got nothing from those talks except open pressure from Washington to capitulate and surrender parts of our land.
But the most horrifying part? At that meeting, there wasn’t even the courage to call Russian aggression by its name. Instead, under the sweet disguise of a “peace mission,” we are being pushed to hand over even more territory. This isn’t diplomacy—this is bartering with our blood and our future. Like most Ukrainians, I am outraged and shaken by this policy: we are being forced into a trap, where we are expected to bow to a murderer so that the world can breathe a sigh of relief and return to its “comfortable life.”

Putin, true to the Kremlin’s playbook, got everything he wanted: time, a delay in sanctions, and yet another signal that the West is willing to sell out its principles for the illusion of peace. And while propagandists paint a cartoonish picture, the global community stays silent, watching as farce turns into official strategy.
Ukrainians are increasingly asking: whose side is Trump really on—democracy’s or dictatorship’s? And as long as the delays in military aid and sanctions continue, the answer will be obvious. Every minute of hesitation is another bullet killing our soldiers and civilians; another piece of land we are forced to give up; another reminder that, to the world, comfort and money are worth more than Ukrainian lives.
