Helping Displaced Persons and Defenders

Volunteer project - Mar 1, 2022

Activity

aiMy husband and I own a small restaurant. On February 25, we discussed and agreed that we will not sit idly by. We decided to help with what we could, that is feeding displaced people, soldiers, volunteers, guys from territorial defense.

Impact

aiOur friends, guests, immigrants started working in the same kitchen with us. Since I have a small boy and girl, I especially try to help families with children. Thanks to everyone who cares, we are able to make life a little easier for those who need it.

Our Result

aiOver 5 months we must have fed over 1500 people.

And right in front of my eyes were my children, whom I saw only at night in the first month of the war

Since I have two small children, I prefer helping families with children. We helped people fleeing the war with food, hygiene products, a warm place to sit, and housing. Only a month after the war began, could we start to serve customers at our restaurant again.

Over time, since many acquaintances went to the front, we expanded our activities in helping the military. And now this is our main focus. When people ask what does it take to be a volunteer? How can you possibly collect and buy all that's needed? I say - you just take it and try to do it!
